Using a camera installed inside the bus, the driver’s facial features are extracted, specifically the movement of his eyes, whether they are open or closed, and analyzed to determine his condition if he feels sleepy, takes drugs or drinks alcohol. Using artificial intelligence technology and computer vision, three main functions have been done: This project has been provided with a website for the company responsible for vehicles to follow up and monitor drivers, and the ability to take quick measures to avoid any sudden events resulting from it accidents. The system is installed inside the vehicle to track and alert the driver’s mistakes. This product consists of sensors and a GPS module, in addition to cameras for some functions. Note that this system can be installed in any vehicle, but here we have used a small bus as a prototype
Tars is a gift that crowns diligence, effort, and hard work for a whole year, and according to its name, it is a project to reduce traffic accidents of public transportation caused by drivers' mistakes. Our project was presented, and thank God, it was admired and praised by the audience. Tarek Al-Nabarawy, the Secretary General of the Cairo Engineers Syndicate, and a group of dear guests from the ministries, doctors, heads of departments and deans of faculties, headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of Helwan University: Prof. Mamdouh Mahdi and the Assistant Minister of Military Production, the Captain of Egypt’s Engineers, Eng. It was a huge event in which we were honored to meet important people in industry, technology and engineering. We were honored to attend " Helwan University's exhibition of innovation and technology" as official representatives of the Faculty of Engineering of Helwan University, with official participation with our graduation project TARS.
